MISSION
At Ms. Tracy’s Early Learning Pod, I am dedicated to creating a nurturing, stimulating and welcoming environment, in my home, for all children and families. My unique programs incorporate a variety of educational theories, while always keeping the child’s best interest in mind and allowing for hands-on, experiential learning. I will always strive to have parents feel like they are being heard.
MY EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS
The educational programs at Ms. Tracy’s Early Learning Pod are secular, inclusive, and screen free. They were created with our children’s needs in mind: to mature and develop in a safe yet stimulating environment. Weekday programs are available year-round except for 7 holiday closings and the first full week of August. Take a look below to learn more about each program.
TODDLERS (MONDAY-FRIDAY)
My classes are Monday-Friday from 7:00am-6:00pm for children 2 years old to 3 years old. There will be no more than 4 toddlers in my class. I believe in play based learning for toddlers along with some structure in the form of daily, but flexible routines. I offer individualized instruction based on the needs of each child with consideration from parents. There will be seasonal themes incorporating holidays and special events. The curriculum I use is "Playing Preschool, Homeschool Curriculum", but I may pull from other curriculums when appropriate. Breakfast, milk, and an afternoon snack will be provided. Lunch should be brought from home. I will work on potty training with your child when you and I feel it is appropriate. Full-time tuition (5 days) is $290 weekly. Part-time tuition is $240 for 4 days, $190 for 3 days, and $140 for 2 days. There is a 15% discount for siblings enrolled in the infants and/or toddler programs.
INFANTS (MONDAY - FRIDAY)
My infant classes are Monday-Friday from 7:00am-6:00pm for children 8 months old to 23 months old. There will be no more than 2 infants in my class. I use an infant curriculum and choose activities related to the curriculum themes my toddlers are working on. Full-time tuition (5 days) is $420 weekly. Part-time tuition is $380 for 4 days, $340 for 3 days, and $300 for 2 days. There is a 15% discount for siblings enrolled in the weekday toddler and/or infant programs. MY PROFESSIONAL PROFILE
I started my early childhood career in 2002, as a toddler teacher at a daycare center. I taught there while attending the University of Maryland. I received my Bachelors degree in Education in 2006 and my Masters degree in Education in 2007. I started working for Prince George’s County Public Schools in 2007 as a Special Education classroom teacher. I taught in a Head Start inclusion classroom for 6 years and a 3 year old inclusion classroom for 9 years. I became a nanny in April of 2022, caring for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. My dream was always to open my own home preschool and in March of 2023 I decided to start the process. I look forward to the opportunity to work with your family as we help your child grow into a confident Kindergartener.

PERSONAL PROFILE
I grew up in Northern Virginia and moved to Prince Georges County in 1999. I have 2 older brothers and 3 older sisters, who live in Virginia. I am married to Mr. Yuni and we have 2 children, Ms. Jasmine, born in 1999 and Noah, born in 2012. Mr. Yuni and Ms. Jasmine are my emergency substitutes. Mr. Yuni's full-time job is with Prince Georges public schools. Ms. Jasmine's full-time job is with the State House in Annapolis. Noah is a middle school student. We also have 2 dogs. Honey is a miniature Dachshund and was born is 2012, which is when we adopted her. Heidi is a Supermutt and was probably born in 2015. We adopted her in 2018. Although Honey and Heidi are very friendly to humans, they will not be on the same floor as the children. I enjoy yoga, the beach, walking my dogs, and reading.

We love Tracy, and so does our infant! We made a last-minute decision to wait until our little one was 6 months, rather than 3 months old to start daycare and were so incredibly lucky to meet Tracy. Tracy babysat for us 4 days/week from 7:30-5:30 for the past ~4 months. Tracy is playful and creative and loving with the baby, and brings decades of experience in education, special education, and childcare with her every day. Tracy helped us feel great about our little one spending time in the care of others; Tracy is very attentive and careful and tuned in to the baby's needs, wants, and development. Tracy is reliable, communicative, and also was very flexible with us, adding hours and days on the fly when our schedules blew up. As new parents, we learned oodles from Tracy as well. It has been sad for us, the baby, and the dog not to see Tracy each morning now that the baby is in daycare, and we hope as the baby grows, we continue to see Tracy and her relationship with our little one continues to grow.

Tracy has watched my two boys (4 years and 10months) on multiple occasions and she is great! Not only is she patient, caring and reliable, but she also comes with ideas and activities for the kids, which we really appreciated. Tracy has extensive experience dealing with kids of all ages and I would highly recommend her for your childcare needs!
Irene (McLean)
Tracy was our incredible nanny and homeschool teacher for almost a year, until our youngest was ready to go to school. She cared primarily for our then 2 year old and occasionally our 5 year old who was in school full time. Due to her teaching credentials and history, she is not your typical nanny. Our daughters benefited from a structured day filled with fun and play, as well as educational opportunities thanks to Tracy's deep well of experience and knowledge. She even held morning circle time. My children's play and learn area was always organized, seasonally decorated and cheerful. My daughter learned her alphabet, letter sounds, shapes and colors, and to count to 10 by the time she entered school at 3 1/2 thanks to Tracy. Tracy also potty trained her, despite challenges. Tracy is an inexhaustible, patient caretaker with unconditional love for her charges. Her steady, calm demeanor is invaluable with the little ones. She is the most trustworthy, principled individual that we have ever worked with. For Tracy, children always come first. And home would be blessed to have her in it and any child in her care will flourish.

We needed full time, temporary coverage for our 3 year old daughter, and Tracy was phenomenal. When we initially interviewed her via the phone, I couldn't quite guage if her energy level would keep up with our child-but I quickly found out I had nothing to worry about. She is SO good with kids! She was timely, responsible, caring, patient, and fun. We could tell she's a true professional-she knew exactly how to handle our 3 year old and just dove right in. My husband and I both work from home, and we both commented on how the house had never been so calm and our daughter had never seemed so engaged, happy, and focused with any caregiver. She absolutely loved Miss. Tracy and looked forward to seeing her each day. Tracy kept things very organized, respected our schedule, and handled everything like a pro. She got right down on the floor with our daughter to play and read, she introduced new, fun activities and even brought some fun toys and bookds from her home to share. She truly is like the "3 year old whisperer"...she just has a way with kids that works. She also was so easy for my husband and I to talk to. We all felt so comfortable with Tracy. We highly recommend her, and we would totally ask her to watch our kid again.

Tracy is an absolutely wonderful nanny! She was so sweet and kind to my children. I never had to worry about my children when she was watching them. She always had their best interest in mind with age appropriate play. Anyone would be lucky to have her!
